What do I need to do? I have Roxio Toast 9 Titanium, and I want to burn a copy of The Great Debaters, but it says that it’s protected under this rights management, and it won’t let me make a copy. Any ideas?

Does anyone know if Roxio’s Popcorn 3 allows you copy store purchased DVDs? I have a collection of movies for my kids and the disks are getting quite scratched up. I would like to make copies of my originals for safe keeping and leave the copies for them to scratch up. Naturally, Roxio’s web site won’t “admit” that Popcorn can copy encrypted movies, but before I purchase it, I would like to know if it is capable of this without sacraficing picture quality.

Roxio Easy CD Creator 5 Platinum Edition software allows you to burn and share any type of data on CD (Compact Disk). You can create high-quality customized music CDs from any source such as music CDs, cassettes or internet downloads. While the software provides you with so many benefits, it might result into a STOP error message when you attempt to remove it from your computer. Once the STOP error message appears, the data saved on the hard drive becomes inaccessible. In such data loss scenarios, you need to restore the data from an updated backup. If this screen appears again, follow these steps: Check for viruses on your computer. Remove any newly installed hard drives or hard drive controllers. Check your hard drive to make sure it is properly configured and terminated. Run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer. Technical information: *** STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF9E62640, 0xC0000034, 0×00000000, 0×00000000)”
The four parameters in the STOP error message differ with system’s configuration.
Cause:
The above error message primarily occurs if the Prtseqrd.sys UpperFilter driver registry entry is not removed when you remove Easy CD Creator 5 Platinum Edition. This registry entry is added by Easy CD Creator 5 Platinum Edition Setup. When you remove the program, the Prtseqrd.sys driver file is removed. However, in some cases, the UpperFilter entry remains in the registry and this condition causes the STOP error message when you start Windows XP.
Resolution:
To resolve the above error message and access the data, you will need to take these measures:
Ø Edit the registry and use a backup registry system hive
Ø Edit the system hive from a parallel Windows installation
However, if both the above resolutions fail to perform and the data still remains inaccessible, the best option is to reinstall Windows XP. A clean reinstall of Windows XP will erase all data from the selected hard drive partition.
